A worthy cause which needs your support

You can help in saving lives of Pre-term babies in Neo-natal ICU, who need Mother's milk for survival!

In India, out of 27 million new born, 3.6 million babies are prematurely born annually and 3,03,600 babies die due to premature birth complications.

Due to under developed digestive system they can’t digest formula milk, feeding them with it can cause complicated digestive diseases.

They need their mothers’ milk for survival.

In case when the mother herself is struggling for her life in ICU or if the baby looses his/her mother at the time of delivery, providing mother’s milk is a big challenge for the family as well as the doctors.

Human Milk Collection Centre can be the answer for the above mentioned problem. Some of the healthy mothers in the society come to the Centre and donate theri excess milk, after feeding their own child. It is then collected, pasteurized and stored (at Under -20 degree) in the milk banks and used for those ill babies in the NICUS. Working for awareness of the milk banks is an important need for healthy society tomorrow. This is can be achieved in the following ways.

Rotary Club of Pune Pride has planned to build such Human Milk Collection Centres at various locations in Pune.

Cost of a typical Collection Center is Rs. 1,04,000. We are planning to install 6 collection centers in Pune. Cost: Rs. 6.24 Lakhs.

We appeal to you to donate only Rs. 100 to help in this cause! Can you do this for the babies please?
